Dated Dec. 16, 1943; perhaps postmarked Jan. 1, 1944. I can’t be sure.
Dear Folks,
I am well, happy and safe and I hope you all are the same.
I received a few letters two days ago and dates on them were: Aug. 24, Nov. 17, Nov. 26, Nov. 29. They were from you all and the others were from Uncle Joe (Oct. 27), Uncle Charlie (Nov. 5, Nov. 26) and that’s all.
By the way, you mentioned in one of your letters that I should receive about 9 pckg’s. According to that, I received about five too many. I got 2 cartons of cigarettes from Aunt Helen, 1 carton and a couple of boxes of candy from Uncle Charlie and Aunt Marie, one package from you, one from Aunt Mary and one from V. Martinelli since the last time I told you I received your last package.
You can readily understand why I’ll close now and write some letters. Tell Angi thanks a lot for the cigarettes. I needed them.
Love & Kisses,
Frankie
