Dated Nov. 21, 1944; the envelope in which I found this letter has no postmark.
Dear Folks,
I am well, happy, and safe and I hope you all are the same.
My mail hasn’t caught up with me yet, so I am at a loss as to what to write.
You can send me a package now if you want to, but make it strictly in the line of candy (not hard), cigarettes or razor blades. Do not include anything else until I get out of here and get a place to carry it. I can just picture myself trying to find a place for the spaghetti and other stuff on the way in my bed.
That’s all folks.
Love and Kisses,
Babe
