Postmarked Nov. 24, 1944; the letter is undated.

Dear Folks:
I am well, happy and safe and I hope you all are the same.
I am just writing you this letter in the hopes that it will beat any War Department telegram you receive. I have been slightly wounded in the right fifth toe and I am now in the hospital. A couple of toes are fractured, so you can see there is nothing for you to be worrying about.
Don’t send me any more packages until I send for them because I am not sure I will get them otherwise.
That’s about all I have to say for now so I’ll sign off.
Love and kisses,
Babe
