Well, Happy and Safe

This letter is undated and the postmark is poorly printed; my best guess? Jan. 20 or 29, 1945.

Dear Folks,

I am well, happy, and safe and I hope you all are the same.

I am still in the hospital and making out very well.

I am nowhere near Eboli, so I’m afraid there is no chance of me seeing the old boy. I am not allowed to write to him either, so I guess we are out of luck.

I received a letter fro Mrs. Cameron today. What did Bib do, tell the whole school I was wounded?
